Owner & Founder

Helen Kaiser is the proud owner and founder of The Hair Depot Day Spa, established in 1983. With a cosmetology career that began in 1971, Helen has dedicated over five decades to her passion for beauty and client care. While she continues to work behind the chair, she is no longer accepting new clients. Mary Ailing

Cosmetologist & Salon Manager

Mary Ailing has been a licensed cosmetologist since 2010 and brings a deep passion for the beauty industry to everything she does. After moving to Columbus to expand her knowledge and skills, Mary discovered her love for curly hair while training at Ambushed Salon, where she began specializing in naturally curly textures. As a curl specialist, Mary focuses on shaping each client’s curls while providing education on maintenance, health, and styling techniques to help clients love and care for their natural texture. Julie Brown is a long-standing and well-known stylist in the Bellevue community, bringing over 30 years of experience to her craft. Throughout her career, Julie has worked in several salons across different towns, but whenever she’s called Bellevue home, she’s returned to The Hair Depot Day Spa to work alongside Helen. Known for her talent, professionalism, and dedication to her clients, Julie continues to share her passion for cosmetology and personalized care. She is accepting new clients by request only. Cosmetologist

April Adkins began her career in the beauty industry as a licensed Nail Technician before deciding to expand her skills and earn her Cosmetology license. With decades of experience, April brings her expertise and creativity to both hair and nail services, providing her clients with beautiful, personalized results. Jocelyn Motely

Cosmetologist

Jocelyn Motley began her journey at The Hair Depot Day Spa in January 2025 as an intern while completing the Cosmetology program at EHOVE Career Center. Through the salon’s hands-on internship program, she gained real-world experience with clients and services that challenged and grew her skills. After earning her cosmetology license in April 2025, Jocelyn transitioned into her current role as a Junior Stylist. She continues to expand her education and services—offering not only hair services but also skincare and select nail services. As a new Nail Technician, Shelby White is excited to help clients enhance the beauty and health of their nails. After completing her nail technician program, she was eager to bring her passion for nail artistry to life and create customized looks for every style. Shelby offers a variety of services, including manicures, pedicures, gel polish, Gel-X extensions, and Luminary gel overlays. Her focus is on promoting strong, healthy nails while expressing creativity through both neutral and vibrant colors—as well as detailed nail art.
